Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
HE MAY BE GONE FROM OUR HOME BUT NOT FROM OUR HEARTS
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Steve Elmore, who was born in Missouri on May 17, 1945 and passed away in Blythe, CA. on December 14, 2004 at the age of 59. We will remember  and miss him forever. To know him was to love him. He was a very unique and caring person. He was always so full of life and always knew how to have a good time. His family meant the world to him. I'm not just talking about his wife, children and grandchildren. I am talking about his parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, even the in-laws. Ha! He would have laughed at that, but that is the truth, even the in-laws. Steve would have and did go out of his way for family, and on behalf of them..
THANKS A MILLION STEVE!
One of Steve's request was to have the song Drift Away played for him at his services. We as his family honored that request, and I have now added it on this site. Please listen to it as you are browsing his site and thinking of a memory or two.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal..
Love leaves a memory no one can steal....

TO MY FAMILY: I LOVE AND MISS YOU, YOU MADE MY LIFE WORTH LIVING

MY FAMILY  THEY ARE SURVIVORS. OR SO I'VE HEARD IT SAID.
BUT I CAN HEAR THEM CRYING AT NIGHT, WHEN ALL OTHERS ARE IN BED.
I WATCH THEM LIE AWAKE AT NIGHT, AND GO TO HOLD THEIR HAND.
THEY DON'T KNOW THAT I'M WITH THEM, TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND.

BUT LIKE THE SANDS UPON THE BEACH, THAT NEVER FADE AWAY.
I WATCH MY SURVIVING FAMILY, WHO THINKS OF ME EACH DAY.
THEY WEAR A SMILE FOR OTHERS, A SMILE OF DISGUISE,
BUT THROUGH HEAVEN'S OPEN DOOR I SEE, TEARS FLOWING FROM THEIR EYES.

MY FAMILY TRIES TO COPE WITH DEATH TO KEEP MY MEMORY ALIVE,
BUT ANYONE WHO KNOWS THEM KNOWS...IT IS THEIR WAY TO SURVIVE.
AS I WATCH OVER MY FAMILY, THROUGH HEAVEN'S OPEN DOOR,
I TRY TO TELL THEM THE ANGELS HERE, PROTECT ME FOREVER MORE!

I KNOW THAT DOESN'T HELP THEM, OR EASE THE BURDEN THEY BEAR.
SO IF YOU GET A CHANCE, VISIT THEM, TO SHOW THEM THAT YOU CARE.
FOR, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY, NO MATTER WHAT THEY FEEL
MY SURVIVING FAMILY HAS BROKEN HEARTS THAT TIME WILL NEVER HEAL.

LOVE STEVE
YOUR HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, SON, BROTHER, BRO-IN-LAW, UNCLE AND FRIEND

His legacy
Steve-Elmore
My dad was born Albert Stephen Elmore to Leo and Izell Elmore on May 17, 1945. Everyone that knew my dad personally, called him Steve. He was a mischievious kid, always looking for something to do. He loved fishing, camping, reading (which some may not know) and most of all he loved his family. He was born into a family of 13. Betty, Peggy, JoAnn, Donald, Bonnie, Steve, Larry, Benny, Monte, Wade, Vicki, Allen and Jay. He married his wife, Sharon, of 41 years in 1963. They went on to have me, Sherry, and my brother Kurt. I remember having an adventerous childhood with my dad. He could make things happen. Ha Ha ! My brother Kurt got married to Missy and went on to bless my parents with 4 beautiful grandchildren. Ashley, Andrew, Derek, and Tori. My father thought the world of his grandkids. They referred to him as Ole Man River. Why they call him that I really don't know.
My dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2003 and endured all the treatments they could give him. He was a tough ol' cookie, but his body just could not take any more.
Steve has a big family and many friends that miss him dearly.
I Love my dad and would give anything to have him back.
He was the best dad and person you could meet, and as his grandkids would say: We Love and Miss You Ole Man River
Steve was preceded in death by his father Leo Martin Elmore...tell grandpa we said Hi!! and we love and miss him too!!!
